FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. Robinson Cano Mariners Jersey . -- Matt Ryan needed one of the best games of his career to lead the Falcons and their depleted offence out of their three-game losing streak last week. Its looking like Ryan will have more help in Sundays game at Arizona. Running back Steven Jackson, who has missed four straight games with a hamstring injury, practiced Wednesday and said he feels ready to "give it a go." Left tackle Sam Baker, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, also was in full pads. The Falcons are still awaiting receiver Roddy Whites return from hamstring and ankle injuries. Ryan completed 20 of 26 passes with three touchdown passes and no interceptions in last weeks 31-23 win over Tampa Bay. His 148.4 passer rating was the highest of his career and the top rating of any NFL quarterback this season. The bad news was the offence lacked balance with only 18 yards rushing. A healthy Jackson would be a much-needed boost for an offence that lost receiver Julio Jones for the season earlier this month. "Its going to be a big thing for us," Ryan said. "Hes a great player." Jackson has been held out since pulling the hamstring in the second game of the season against the Rams, his former team. It has been a slow recovery for Jackson. Jackson said it hasnt been easy to sit out the four games and wait five weeks, including the teams bye week, to be cleared for practice. "Ive seen the doctor more times than Id like to and finally he and I are on the same page," Jackson said. "I feel encouraged enough in the progress Ive made to give it a go." Jacksons plan was to start slowly on Wednesday, the first practice of the week, and build up to Sundays game. "I dont think any time after Week 1 youre 100 per cent, but I think Im feeling to this point good enough to give it a go and be out there and be effective like day one," he said, adding his left "feels a lot better. "Once again I will be very aware I still have some days to heal and Ill be there on Sunday." Coach Mike Smith said he checked in with Jackson twice during the practice. "I had an opportunity to ask him a couple of times in practice and it seemed like it was going well," Smith said, adding the next test will be how Jacksons hamstring responds on Thursday. "Hopefully hell get more reps tomorrow and increase it as the week goes on," Smith said. Jackson said the recovery has been frustrating. "What makes a hamstring so difficult is youre actually able to run but once you hit top gear, thats when you feel it," he said. "Walking around, I feel no issue. Jogging, I feel no issue. But when its time for me to make runs and cuts that I need to do, thats what makes a hamstring difficult." The Falcons continued to miss Jackson even when winning last week. With Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling sharing the carries, Atlanta couldnt move the ball on the ground. Rodgers caught two touchdown passes. The Falcons rank 30th in the league with their average of 68.3 yards rushing per game. Jackson said he didnt feel rushed by the team to return and boost the running game. "Overall the team hasnt been where we want it to be in the running game, but I feel no added pressure," he said. "The organization and the training staff have been more than willing to work with me to make sure that Im 100 per cent." Jackson, 30, signed a three-year, $12 million deal with Atlanta after posting eight straight seasons with more than 1,000 yards rushing at St. Louis. Jackson has been durable through his career. He missed only two starts the last four seasons. "Coming into this season, I definitely didnt want to miss any games," Jackson said. "I take great pride in being a workhorse." Jacksons last game was Sept. 15, so hell be well-rested. "Oh man, I feel fresh," he said. "Im still hungry as ever. ... Maybe I can be a difference-maker." NOTES: White, Snelling (ankle) and LB Stephen Nicholas (thigh) did not practice. Jackson, Baker, CB Robert Alford (ankle), TE Chase Coffman (knee), LB Akeem Dent (ankle) and DT Corey Peters (shoulder) were listed as limited by the team. ... Practice began on the outdoor fields but moved to the teams indoor facility due to heavy winds. "Got to have completions," Smith said. Felix Hernandez Jersey . The 30-year-old Kottaras served as Kansas Citys backup catcher last season after being claimed off waivers from Oakland in January. Robinson Cano Jersey . "Its embarrassing what were doing here," leading scorer Phil Kessel said Wednesday. The most recent failed season came with even more pain than the six that preceded it. There was no hint of an impending implosion when the Leafs came roaring out of the all-star break with back-to-back games against Pittsburgh -- a 5-4 shootout loss followed by a 1-0 win the next night. http://www.authenticmarinersproshop.com/ryon-healy-mariners-jersey/ . The Jays responded to the three-spot Detroit placed on Casey Janssen the evening before with an attack on the Tigers Achilles Heel, its bullpen, tying the game in the ninth and winning the game in the 10th. The result absolved Marcus Stroman, brilliant once again, of a tough luck loss while at the same time robbing Max Scherzer, brilliant once again, of a deserved win.CLEVELAND -- The Los Angeles Lakers left Canadian Robert Sacre on the court after he fouled out in the fourth quarter. Coach Mike DAntoni felt it was the best move for his depleted team. Its been that kind of year for the short-handed Lakers. Los Angeles lost two more players to injuries on Wednesday night and had to go to a little-known NBA rule to hold on for a 119-108 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. "That was, by far, one of the strangest games Ive ever seen," DAntoni said. Rookie Ryan Kelly scored a career-high 26 points and Steve Blake had his first career triple-double for Los Angeles, which snapped a seven-game losing streak. The Lakers set a franchise record for 3-pointers, going 18 for 37 from long range. But Los Angeles first win in two weeks was overshadowed by a bizarre ending. The Lakers had eight available players coming into the game. Then Nick Young twisted his left knee in the first half and Chris Kaman fouled out early in the fourth quarter. When Jordan Farmar left with leg cramps in the final period, that put Los Angeles at five players. Sacre committed his sixth foul with 3:32 remaining, but the North Vancouver, B.C., native stayed in the game because DAntoni was out of healthy bodies. The Lakers were assessed a technical foul. "That was just crazy," Sacre said. "When I got my sixth foul, I was just like, Oh, dang! Then I got to come back in, so I thought it was something special. I didnt know what was going on." Each side has to have five players on the court at all times during an NBA game. With the Lakers down to five healthy players, DAntoni was informed by the officials that he could leave Sacre on the floor and any addition foul on the centre would also result in a technical. "I didnt know about that rule, but its a nice rule," DAntoni said with a chuckle. The Lakers were without Steve Nash (rest), Jodie Meeks (sprained ankle) and Jordan Hill (strained neck). Pau Gasol (groin) and Kobe Bryant (knee) remained in Los Angeles for the three-game road trip. The situation was so unusual that Nash, who was in street clothes, went to the locker room and put on his uniform late in the game, but DAntoni said he had no intention of putting the point guard into the game. "I was not going to go to Nash -- it was not an option to us -- but the other thing we talked about was having Jordan go out there and just stand in the corner," DAntoni said. "When the officials came over to explaiin the options to me, we decided to keep Robert out there. Kyle Seager Jersey. I knew he would be smart and not commit too many more fouls." Nash played for the first time since Nov. 10 on Tuesday night after being out because of a nerve problem in his back. Meeks sprained his right ankle about a minute into Tuesdays game and Hill was elbowed in the head by Kaman. Farmar scored 21 points and Wesley Johnson added 20 for the Lakers, who shot 53 per cent from the field. Blake had 11 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. C.J. Miles led Cleveland with 27 points. All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving was taken out with 7:32 remaining in the third quarter and finished with 11 points as the Cavaliers lost their sixth consecutive game, tying their longest losing streak of the season. Anderson Varejao was the only starter to play in the fourth quarter as Miles, Anthony Bennett of Brampton, Ont., Matthew Dellavedova and Dion Waiters got the Cavaliers back in the game. "They definitely deserved to be on the floor," Irving said. "That second group did a heck of a job. You have to give a whole bunch of credit to them. If I were the coach, I would have played that second group as long as he did." "Maybe we can learn something from what that group did on the floor," Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. "They played the right way." The Lakers built a 29-point lead in the second quarter and led 96-68 late in the third period before the Cavaliers rallied. Cleveland cut the lead to 100-90 early in the fourth and got to 114-108 before Blakes 3-pointer with 56.9 seconds left finally sealed the win. While the Cavaliers were off Tuesday, the Lakers lost in Minnesota and flew through a snowstorm to arrive in Cleveland around 2 a.m. Wednesday. While Los Angeles had 22 assists on 25 field goals while building a 70-49 halftime lead, Clevelands offence was stagnant. The Cavaliers shot 37 per cent from the field and were 1 of 18 on 3-pointers. NOTES: The Cavaliers hung a new banner of Austin Carrs retired No. 34 jersey from the rafters at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday. The original banner vanished last week and is still missing. Carr was the first player drafted by the franchise in 1971 and currently works as a TV colour analyst for the team. ... Nash is expected to play Friday night in Philadelphia. ... Lakers G Manny Harris second 10-day contract expired and the team chose not to re-sign him for the rest of the season. Harris went out on a high note with 18 points against Minnesota.
